The Primal Express 

HI Ya'll! I'm Justin Meekins, creator of The Primal Express, A Local~Motion Eatery featuring the Smoke-o-motive. I am born and raised in Coastal Virginia and have a culinary background that stems solely from a passion to cook and prepare amazing food. I essentially have the “knack for it;” and, by means of gastronomic instinct, I have been creating beautiful flavors using whatever is available to me. I have spent most of my free time researching, experimenting with various processes of cooking, and challenging myself often with new cuisines. I worked at a few restaurants over the years to expand knowledge and skill in my craft, educating  myself through local barbecue and high-end Italian establishments, which also includes assisting in catering events and weddings. I regularly enjoy watching shows and videos at home to “experience” other chef’s styles. You see, Cooking T.V. was my equivalent to Saturday morning cartoons while growing up. I am very eager to venture into business for myself and work toward my fulfilling my passion.
